This Seasons Makeup Trends: Fall 2019

Step out in style this season with these wearable makeup trends

Autumn has arrived with some exciting wearable makeup trends. Intrigued? Read on!

TREND WATCH: STEP OUT IN STYLE

Say goodbye to the sculpted brow and hello to extra fluffy lashes! Yes, more is more, so have some fun with this look and pile them on. With so many options to choose from—from mink to silk to natural hair lashes—you can be sure to find a style to best suit your peepers.

The look of innocence is another trend we’ll be seeing much of this season. A pink or peachy blush on the cheeks, paired with a matching hue on the lips, will keep you on trend when you’re on the go.

Barely there makeup with glowing skin is one of this season’s beauty looks that I’m really excited about, which brings me to my focus for this issue: skin care.

3 SKIN SAVERS

Does saying goodbye to summer mean hello to dry, crepey skin? Not necessarily, and certainly not if you have a few extraordinary miracle makers at your disposal. Here are three of my favourite skin savers that work EXACTLY as promised!

1. NEOSTRATA PURE HYALURONIC ACID BIOCELLULOSE MASK:

This mask is form-fitting and easily adheres to the curves of the face. I use this gem whenever my face is feeling a bit dry or dull as it’s packed with moisturizing properties, instantly smoothing fine lines and reducing the appearance of enlarged pores.

Benefits: The mask is derived from pure coconut water and is filled with 0.15 per cent hyaluronic acid to replenish skin’s moisture.

2. NUFACE TRINITY FACIAL TONING DEVICE

I’ve been using the NuFace Trinity for over a year to tighten and lift the contours of my face, and I’m telling you this device works wonders and you see the results immediately! For the first 60 days, use five times per week. After that, use two to three times per week to maintain results. Think of this ingenious device as your own personal time machine, providing you with a mini facelift.

Benefits: Improves facial contour, tone and provides wrinkle reduction.

3. AVENE ANTIOXIDANT MASK

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect with this mask as there are so many out there promising bright, glowing skin, but this is the real deal. I placed the mask on my face for 10 minutes (you can wear it for up to 15 minutes) and was pleasantly surprised by how radiant my skin looked even after applying makeup.

Benefits: Contains Vitamin C to support collagen and brighten the skin and Vitamin E to provide a shield against free radicals. Also contains GP4G (an energizing molecule) to optimize natural defense against free radicals and is safe for use after aesthetic procedures.

KISS AND TELL: CREATE A FULLER POUT FOR THE FALL

Step 1: Exfoliate by moistening your lips with a clean dampened facecloth and gently wipe away any skin that may be peeling.

Step 2: Apply Vitamin E or a good moisturizing lip balm and blot with a tissue to remove any excess product.

Step 3: Apply lipstick and blot with a tissue.

Step 4: Select a lip pencil that is a couple of shades darker than your lipstick of choice and carefully overdraw the lips ever-so-slightly above the lip line.

Step 5: Take a step back and view in a larger mirror—this way you can easily check for symmetry.

Takeaway Tip: This look works best with matte finish as any shine will cause the overdraw of the lip to become obvious.
